                    C.
Dean Andersson wrote horror, fantasy, and science
                        fiction with an edge. The
Death Wagon Rolls on By received a Horror
Writers Association Bram Stoker finalist award.
                        I Am Dracula
                        was highlighted with a Count
Dracula Fan Club recommendation and featured in
                         Olalla, an
epic vampire film, as a vampire’s favorite book. Bloodsong, a
sword-wielding Scandinavian warrior woman, cut new
ground for heroines in fantasy as she led slaves in
revolt with her rallying cry, "Bloodsong and Freedom!” Publishers Weekly
                        reviewed Death Riders

                              ANDERSSON Personal Recollections

Dean and I first meet at a DFW
Science Fiction convention in Dallas, TX. We would chat in
hallways between panels and other places, swapping stories
and shared life experiences. I was intrigued when I found
out that he had gone to college after a few years in the
Air Force Band as a percussionist. He wanted to study
astronomy to make his science fiction novels more accurate
and graduated summa cum laude with an Astrophysics
degree. Along the way, I found out that we were both
                      Technical Writers,
he writing mainframe computer software manuals and I telephone exchange
software manuals. Most recently we would have lunch
together,  and I would show him my theoretical
physics research notebooks and discuss my work. I miss my
conversations with Dean and hope that wherever  he
is, he is happy and writing horror, fantasy and science
                      fiction.
